In support of Total Administrative Services Corporation’s (TASC) 45th anniversary and corporate philanthropic mission to make a difference within the communities where they live, TASC partnered with MMSD for a volunteer event across the school district during the 2020 TASC All Company Meeting in March 2020. The desire was to create fun, engaging and meaningful activities that supported the schools, teachers, and students.
Food4TI’s food pantries were one of the designated areas of support. Over a two-day period, Sandburg, Hawthorne, and Mendota Elementary schools and Cherokee Heights Middle School were to have between 2-12 volunteers assist over the span of three shifts. Volunteers were planning to help clean and organize the pantries, assist with inventory and ordering, and assist with open pantry hours during their respective shifts. Unfortunately, all TASC volunteer onsite school opportunities had to be cancelled the day before the event due to heightened sensitivity to the COVID-19 situation.
In addition to the support of TASC volunteers, the Dan and Patti Rashke (TASC) Family Foundation committed to provide one month of financial support to each of Food4TI’s food pantries. Food4TI thanks the Rashke Family Foundation for donating a total of $6250.
